The Fishing

Private Beats on Storied Chalkstreams

Sweetwater works with Simon Cooper, the Dean of English Chalkstreams, and Mark Bolton, Sweetwater's head guide in Livingston, Montana, who was born in England and has assembled access to exceptional beats on renowned streams.

Whether the day is on the Test, Itchen, Frome, or Nadder, anglers can expect picturesque water, selective trout, and a fishing style rooted in the traditions that shaped modern fly fishing.

Country Lodging, History, and Non-Angler Appeal

Non-fishing hours can include walking estate grounds, visiting nearby shops and cafes, exploring historical sites, or watching trout feed from a bridge over the Test as it flows through town.

The trip works well for non-anglers and anglers alike, with ancient landmarks, countryside villages, and estate lodging all close enough to build into the week.
